Consilium Safety

Local crime, health and environmental alerts for your neighborhood

Know fast. Act calmly.

Consilium is a free safety app for people who want a calmer way to follow what is happening near home. It is for residents, families, and anyone watching a neighborhood in a US city. The app monitors crime reports, health alerts such as boil-water notices and product recalls, and environmental hazards such as chemical incidents and earthquakes. It reads more than 15,000 sources across more than 4,000 US cities, then keeps the signal limited to what can affect your area. Download it free on iOS or Android and set your location in about a minute.

Skip the sensational headlines — from a crime trend to a recall to a boil water notice, Consilium tells you the moment it's official, and the moment it's over.

Local news needs you scared to keep you watching. Consilium just needs you informed.

You shouldn't have to find the right Facebook group to learn your tap water isn't safe.

Consilium Shows You What Matters, So You Can Act Faster

We don't just report the news—we analyze it. We break down complex data into easy-to-understand insights so you can make informed decisions. Our AI filters out the noise and shows you the exact signals that matter to you and your family. A carjacking across town, a boil-water notice on your block, and a spill on a highway you never drive are not the same kind of news. Consilium keeps the items that can change your day and leaves the rest alone.

Know First

Get push notifications about verified threats the moment our AI detects them. Always on, always ready, and never in the way.

Hyper Local

That national news story is interesting, but it's not impacting your life. Every Consilium alert is tailored to your exact neighborhood or location.

No Noise

Stop hunting through social media or biased sources to get accurate information. Our AI filters through 15,000+ sources to give you actionable alerts.

Consilium Monitors 15,000+ Sources So You Don’t Have To

Consilium uses AI to track crime, health, and environmental signals as they happen, and sends you only what matters — instantly.

There’s a lot of noise out there. How do you find what matters to you?

  • A string of car-jackings in a major city 50 miles from your home. Does that matter to you and your family? Maybe not.
  • A sewage leak in a lake near you. Does that matter to you? Maybe.
  • An escaped felon last seen in your neighborhood. Does that matter? Definitely.

We scan official data and breaking news, as well as community reports from all 50 states, and use powerful AI to deliver hyper-local updates the moment you need to know.

See Consilium in Action

From your overview dashboard to crime signals and community reports, this short tour shows how Consilium surfaces what matters near you. You will see the home screen, how a health or crime alert is summarized, and where community reports sit beside official signals. It is the fastest way to judge whether the app fits the way you already check on your neighborhood, and it runs in under three minutes.

Active Monitoring in 4,000+ Cities

"When something happens near you — a school lockdown, a gas leak down the block — you shouldn't have to dig through social media to find out. Consilium tells you first."

- Ron White, Founder

Active monitoring means Consilium is already watching those cities before you open the app. When a school lockdown, a gas leak, or a boil-water notice is published, the alert is tied to the place it affects and marked resolved when the official signal ends. The example below is a boil-water notice in Zion, Illinois: detected when it was published, delivered in the app, and later marked resolved. That pattern, not a viral headline, is what the monitoring is for.

Boil Water Alert - Zion, IL

Source: Local post (social/news)

Detected: Immediately upon publication

Delivered: Instant alert via Consilium

Estimated public awareness delay: 2–4 hours

Status: Resolved

Consilium doesn't wait for virality. It watches quietly, surfaces early, and protects proactively.

Latest weekly reports

Consilium also publishes a public week-by-week record. These pages are not a substitute for the neighborhood alert in the app. They are a dated summary you can read, share, and come back to after the week is over. Each card is the current week, with the headline number, and older weeks stay in that report’s archive.

Clear Information. Calm Decisions.

Local news can be trustworthy and still miss the notice on your block, or lead with a story from across the country. Social feeds are fast and often wrong. Consilium sits closer to a careful local source and borrows only the speed, with the list limited to health, crime, and environmental signals for your city. The comparison below is a simple way to see what is included before you download.

The short answers. The full FAQ covers Premium, privacy and account deletion.

What is Consilium?

Consilium is a free iOS and Android app that sends hyper-local crime, health and environmental alerts for your neighborhood. You hear about what is happening near you when it is reported, instead of waiting for it to become a news story.

How does Consilium work?

Consilium reads police and fire dispatch feeds, government health and environmental agencies, weather services, and news. It monitors 15,000+ sources and sends an alert for your area when those sources point to the same event.

Is Consilium available in my area?

Coverage includes 4,000+ US cities. Select your city during registration. If Consilium is not available where you are yet, email support@civitassignals.com.

Which platforms are supported?

Consilium is available on iOS and Android. Download it on the App Store or Google Play.

What does Consilium monitor?

Consilium monitors events that can change what you do today:

  • Violence and crime, including shootings, attacks, and patterns of theft or assault
  • Severe weather and floods, including tornadoes, flash floods, and dangerous storms
  • Civil unrest, including protests and street closures
  • Infrastructure and utilities, including power outages, water emergencies, and gas leaks
  • Traffic and hazmat, including major accidents, road closures, and spills
  • Public safety notices, including missing persons, police operations, and evacuations

Each alert is tied to a place, so you can decide what it means for your neighborhood.

How accurate are alerts?

Consilium checks an alert against more than one source before it is sent. A report that cannot be corroborated is held back, so you are not asked to act on a single unverified post.
